Reinforcing Prayer
In my previous post I shared about how our God has given us creative ability through a believing heart to a confessing mouth and I started to reflect on prayer. Philippians: 6v6 tells us that we are not to be anxious for anything but use prayer to unlock our inheritance by asking our Heavenly Father for our request with supplication and thanksgiving. Prayer is exercising our legal rite to claim Covenant blessings that are ours in Christ. When we look at Hebrews:; 10v23 it tells us, "Let us HOLD FAST the CONFESSION of our hope", so even though we have prayed we still need to be aware that we don't undo what we are hoping for by the misguided words we speak after we have prayed. Confession is so important and should be in line with our prayer requested from our Daddy. Romans: 10v8 says, "The Word of Faith is near you, in your mouth and in your heart", here again we can see that our mouth is mentioned but this time is linked to exercising our Faith! So, after we have prayed we need to keep our confession in line with our hope and as Romans: 5v5 tells us, "Now HOPE does not disappoint"! The only one that will be disappointed will be the devil watching us living out our Covenant blessings!!

"HUNG BY THE TONGUE?" By Pastor Vic Mundy
Hung by the Tongue?
What an amazing characteristic our Heavenly Father has invested within us and yet why is it that so many of us don’t really appreciate what He has given us?
Here is a question for you; “With what did God create the world that we live in?”
Well of course you know….. it was with His Word.
Hebrews: 1v3 tells us something very interesting…. “who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, through Himself cleansing of our sins, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high.
Notice what it does NOT say, “By the power of His WORD” but rather, “By the word of His POWER”. What does this mean? Well, God released His POWER through His WORDS and the wonderful thing is that He has given us the very same ability!!
Unfortunately many are not even aware of what they have and some do not even take what they have seriously. The very thing that God has given us to create, to transform ourselves into His likeness, to remove obstacles in our lives, to enable us to stand firm and establish His Kingdome in our lives we use to destroy ourselves and unfortunately, each other.
Notice again how God releases His power…. It is through the WORDS of His mouth, His words are capsules that contain HIS power.
In Mark: 11v23 Jesus tells us that we are to SPEAK to the mountains in our lives from a believing heart and we WILL have what we SAY! He did not tell us that we must speak ABOUT the mountains but rather to speak TO them. So many continue speaking ABOUT their problems and wonder why nothing is changing.
We are warned in Proverbs: 18v21 that Death and life are in the power of the Tongue, our tongues carry POWER, and we release this power by the words of our mouths because God has given us the power to create through whatever we are saying.
No wonder David says,
Psalms: 19v14
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Jehovah, before my mouth, keep the door of my lips"
Word paint a picture and we are the artists in our lives, if we don't like the painting we are seeing then let us start my looking at the Word of God, getting the right reflection and then begin to paint what we see in his Word with the words of our mouth and begin to walk in the reality of God's Holy Word giving Him all the Glory!
